SUNIX ECSA14 is a single chip, one-lane PCI Express to one-port Serial ATA II 3.0 Gb/s host card. It was created to meet the need of the ExpressCard market where notebooks, desktops, and docking stations could add one additional external Serial ATA II port via a single slim-type 34mm wide ExpressCard slot. ECSA14 is fully compatible with Serial ATA Generation 2 specification and it allows you to connect Serial-ATA compatible devices to your computer, such as SATA port multipliers Disk Array Box, Serial-ATA RAID Enclosure, or external storage and ATAPI peripheral.
